January is always the most important month in the world of In Treatment, as not only this very fan website is turning 2 years of age, the entire series in general is gonna celebrate its Sweet Sixteen on January 28th.
We might’ve begun our journey on our now-deleted Instagram account, just before the series’ long-awaited fourth season aired, then we expanded our horizons to also include our presence on our also now-defunct Tumblr account & on X, leading to the unleashing of the world’s largest fansite primarily dedicated to one of HBO’s most underrated dramedies.
When the network unleashed this series for the first time on January 28, 2008, it ushered in a whole new era of fictionalized psychotherapy never before seen on North American television. Based on the Israeli series Be’Tipul, the explosive & critically acclaimed success of In Treatment led to more international versions of the series, in particular the North American version, which first had the Lord of Irish Cinema Gabriel Byrne for the first 3 seasons, then Uzo Aduba for the fourth.
On behalf of all the entire cast, crew, writers, producers & other officials, we wanna not only thank each & every single one of y’all for bringing this gripping, provocative & emotional series that made history in a multitude of ways, but we also wanna wish this series a happy sweet Sixteen.
